Cluster of Applied Earth Sciences (CAPES)

CAPES is a hub in Central Europe for high-tech companies and laboratories, providing access to R&D&I capacity and state-of-the-art expertise in applied geoscience subjects, including industrial fields of mining, raw material-, hydrocarbon exploration, geothermal research, radioactive waste disposal & storage, related R&D&I projects, environmental management, training and educational cooperations. The cluster is a group of 33 members: 21 SMEs, 9 institutes and universities, 3 public bodies and non-profit organizations, covering a wide range of geological activities from lab to field work. CAPES is one of the founding members of Geo-Energy Europe metacluster partnership aiming to contribute to the industrial deployment and market uptake of sustainable geo-energy. GEE is focusing on networking, market analysis, knowledge-transfer, export with internationalization startegy to subserve its cluster and SME members in capacity building & cooperation relationship generation on target markets.
