Daniel Reischl
I am helping SMEs in the area of Linz in Upper Austria in their challenges with accelerating their production with robotics and better use of data.
For me this challenge already starts earlier than the production process itself: It is also about automating the design process or using process data and automated measurements.
Within DIH² I was supporting 2 consortia in order to successfully apply for the funding within the TTE program and also supported them during the implementation as LER.
Beside this I am in permanent contact with many SMEs to find technical solutions and funding opportunities for their production processes.
Since 2022 I also try to foster active knowledge transfer from our research projects to SMEs and started to coordinate the seminars of LCM.
I am presenting the topic "mechanical vibrations" by myself, which is a usual limitation for faster handling processes, but also coordinate the seminars of my colleagues covering topics like "virtual commissioning", "multibody simulation" or e.g. "Industrial IoT".
Main activities:
-
project management (my pleasant duty)
- coordinating the multifirm project "robotics and autonomous systems" within LCMs research center for 4 years
- active member in the DIH² project
- main contact point for EU project proposals of LCM concerning robotics
-
developing technical solutions (my passion)
- automated design of piezoelectric actuators
- vibration damping
- automated cutting of threads with Universal robot UR10e
- etc.
Main technical interests:
robotics, workflow automation, mechanical vibrations
Education:
- Diploma study (equivalent to BSc+MSc) "mechatronics" at JKU Linz and CTU Prague
- Master study "legal and business aspects in technics" at JKU Linz
Work experience:
- Since 2010 working at LCM in the Area Mechanics & Control
- Since 2015 teamleader at LCM (current team name "Smart Automation")
Some private facts:
- father of 3 small boys and therefore working only part-time (possible, thanks to very flexible agreements with LCM, my wonderful wife and great support of the grandparents)
- active member of the firebrigade in my hometown
- currently no time for more hobbies ;-)
