Karol Janik

I am a Technology Manager at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, a Research Technology Organisation in the UK. I am responsible for the technology research and development strategy focused on the wide adoption of robotics, automation, and intelligent systems in manufacturing and challenging environments. This includes managing and governing a portfolio of innovation projects delivered by a team of over 50 engineers and researchers. I have been working in R&D for a decade in multiple industrial sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Agritech, Nuclear, Space, Life-Sciences, Marine & Offshore, and General Manufacturing in the UK and across the Europe. I am an active member of the European robotics community and a member of multiple Industrial Advisory Boards for collaborative R&D programmes across Europe (UKRI, Horizon). I am passionate about developing technology that impacts society and helps in solving real-world problems.
